This tea blend is inspired by the signature Onyx Delight latte, a beverage normally made with espresso, milk, honey, vanilla, and cinnamon. Enjoy this tea blend interpretation, with a single estate Dian Hong black tea from Yunnan province, China. This region is commonly known as "the motherland of tea." The incorporation of rolled oat lends a creamy texture, while the cinnamon pieces and natural vanilla and honey flavorings bring a comforting sweetness. Available in two sizes: 15 or 70 Sachets

Story
The Onyx Delight latte is arguably the most classic Onyx drink on our menu, and definitely the most popular latte drink at all Onyx Coffee Lab locations. It’s designed to be sweet, approachable, welcoming and simply delightful. Our team is excited to share this adapted version through a tea blend that is designed to evoke the same delight. Highly encouraged to enjoy plain or with a steamed milk of your choice.
ABOUT THIS BLEND
The base tea for this creative blend is a single estate Dian Hong black tea, from the Yunnan Province in Southwest China, often called “The Motherland of Tea”. It’s made from the leaves of the Yunnan Big Leaf (Da Ye) Tea Trees. Dianhong is often characterized by the amount of fine leaf buds, or "golden tips," present in the dried tea. When brewed, this tea is known for a cup with a sweet and gentle aroma. The organic oat component that lends this blend a creamy texture is processed from a gluten-free oat that was steamed, flattened, air-dried then cooled, while the cinnamon pieces were simply cut & sifted. Lastly, the addition of the all-natural vanilla & honey flavors bring the signature element of sweetness, balance and delight.
BLACK TEA
Black tea is oxidized more than oolong, white and green teas, meaning that after plucking and withering, the tea leaves are rolled, crushed, chopped, or otherwise bruised to spur oxidation to 90-100%. Temperature, humidity and other factors affecting oxidation are tightly controlled before drying. The resulting brew will be stronger in flavor and usually a deep reddish color. Many Asian countries name this a “red tea” after the color of the tea liquor after steeping.

The pyramid tea sachets are designed to give the tea leaves ample room to unfurl & expand as they steep. These sachets are made from PLA Mesh (NeoSoilon®) material that is derived from 100% non-GMO sugar cane. Each sachet is pre-dosed so you can enjoy a great cup of tea at your convenience.
