But if the conditions and weather allow, then Mother Nature rewards us with one of the best light shows there is: the beautiful hues of sunset. We wanted to put the joy and sparkle of the evening sky onto our beloved C40 Mk4 Nitro Blade® so that we could share it with the world.
The Comandante C40 Mk4 ‘sunset’ uses our super robust powder coating, is aluminum free, and 100% food safe. World class grind performance. Engineered to last generations. Made in Germany. Designed by and made for specialty coffee experts & connoisseurs. Quality engineering crafted with the finest materials.
We refined the geometry and structure of the Nitro Blade burr to get the grind performance we were looking for and the particle distribution which worked best with brewing fresh ground specialty arabica beans. Manufacturing a Nitro Blade is a serious engineering task which requires special tools and machinery, excellent craftsmanship and lots of experience. High-nitrogen martensitic steel is extremely difficult to work with. But when finished, it is tough, highly wear resistant and has a high degree of edge retention.
